Santa Fe Week one(onethree)

First I just want to say that traveling the country was breath taking and working for three amazing artists remains undefinable. The best part is that now I call them all, friends.

....and right now I miss all my friends.


   Santa Fe is great and everyone I have met is friendly, warm, and welcoming. But you know how it is, sometimes you just want to walk in a familiar room and see familiar faces.
No pictures this time either.

 Don't get the wrong idea our spirits are up on this side.

 Sorry for my absence but I am just now all moved in and the internet is on. I will be back up and running tomorrow with updates. I am around again.

Spectrum Glass Factory

I want to apologize in advance for there not being any pictures to accompany this post, but due to proprietary issues Spectrum would not allow me to photograph my visit to their factory. Though I did find this picture on the internet of the rollers in a flat glass furnace that they do have at Spectrum.

Paul Marioni has a very long and good relationship with Spectrum and needed to get some sheet glass from them. He asked if I would like to go to the factory for a tour; I must of looked like a kid who was invited to Disney World. It was cooler than Disney. 

Robots that ladle 80 pounds of hot glass in one scoop, furnaces that churn out flat glass all day long, 300 ft. long lehrs, and watching them make the Spectrum nuggets that are becoming the glass of choice for blowers. Such an amazing experience. Thank you Mr. Marioni and Spectrum Glass. 

For those that have been wondering where Christy and I will be living after this adventure begins to wind down. We have made a decision. 

And here we are...

Been in Seattle a week now. It is a place that makes sense, and I can't say that it wasn't meant to. In California Paul, Marsha, and I talked about here. What it was to them and what it might be to me.
 I have been lucky to hang out with some beautiful friends that I have not seen in awhile.  Andy, Karsten, and Jenny are very well; to anyone who wondered. They smile a lot.

   It has also been very nice meeting and working with Paul Marioni. I could go into all the ways my mind has been blown the last couple of days. Instead, I want to tell you: My first Seattle rain has been coming down since yesterday.

Christy and I don't know yet where the next stop will be. So, we have that going for us.
